Before heading to southern Florida to film “Jersey Shore Family Reunion,
” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi made a pit stop at plastic surgeon
Dr. John Paul Tutela’s office, he told us.
“Having seen her periodically for Botox before she went to Miami,
she came in for a touch-up to kind of get everything ready for the camera,
” Tutela, who has offices in New York and New Jersey, recently told Page Six.
Polizzi, 30, has long been a client of Tutela’s, having gotten a breast augmentation
from him following the birth of her two children, who are now 3 and 5 years old.
Looking to restore that pre-pregnancy, motherhood body she came to see me
for a consultation for her breasts, and what we ended up doing was a breast
lift with implants, and she had a fantastic result, and was very excited about
that,” Tutela said.
Implants and breast lifts range between $14,000 and $15,000, he said.
Another repeat customer, Tutela said, is Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino,
whom Tutela says shelled out $800 for Botox ahead of the cast’s trip to Miami.
Sorrentino told Page Six in an interview Thursday that he has gotten Botox.
Reps for Sorrentino and Polizzi didn’t immediately respond
to our requests for comment regarding their cosmetic procedures.
“Botox for men … what I call it in my practice is bro-tox,” Tutela said.
“Usually you just kind of do less of it. Most men don’t want that
whole glazed-over look. You shouldn’t be able to see good plastic surgery,
but bad plastic surgery you can see from across the room.”
Sorrentino’s longtime girlfriend, Lauren Pesce, is also a fan of Tutela’s,
having undergone breast augmentation surgery with him last year.
The surgeon has the couple on an “aggressive skin care regimen,” he said.
Given “Jersey Shore” was once all about “GTL,” or gym, tan and laundry,
Tutela is grateful to be a substitute or sorts.
“‘Jersey Shore’ is kind of famous for the tagline ‘GTL,’ and the T in ‘GTL’ is tanning,
so that’s one of the things that will kind of reverse, and now the new ‘GTL’ is gym,
Tutela and laundry, and it’s better for you,” he said.
